Foothill 3, El Modena 0--Michelle Churnock and Carley Rutledge each had two hits as No. 8 Foothill won its fourth title in a row.
In the Empire League:
Cypress 3, El Dorado 1--Amanda Adams had triples and two RBIs for No. 5 Cypress (16-5, 7-3). El Dorado is 16-5, 7-3.
Los Alamitos 9, Esperanza 0--Jennifer Slaney had three hits and Megan Barnes had two hits and an RBI for No. 2 Los Alamitos (21-4, 10-0).
In the Freeway League:
Fullerton 7, Buena Park 0--Fullerton won its first title in 10 years. Kiki McAulay had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for Fullerton (14-13, 8-2). Angie Fancuberta (14-12) pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts.
In the Garden Grove League:
Pacifica 13, Los Amigos 1 (5 mercy)--Autumn Gwinner had three hits and four RBIs for league co-champion Pacifica (19-5-1, 12-1-1).
Kennedy 1, La Quinta 0 (9 innings)--Erryn Gutjahr tripled and scored on an error for Kennedy (20-5-1, 12-1-1).
Rancho Alamitos 8, Santiago 1--Jill Otto (13-6) pitched her fourth no-hitter, striking out nine. Rancho Alamitos (13-8, 8-6) lost the fourth-place at-large advantage to La Quinta.
In the Orange League:
Western 4, Savanna 3--Western (16-10, 7-3) won in the bottom of the seventh on a run-scoring single by Stacy Humphries. Savanna is 11-10, 7-3. Both are tied with Magnolia (14-8, 7-3) for first.
In the Olympic League:
Brethren Christian 10, Capistrano Valley Christian 0 (5, mercy)--Kristi Howard pitched a no-hitter for Brethren Christian (14-6, 7-5), which plays Calvary Chapel (7-5, 10-16) today at Mile Square Park to determine third place.
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Hills 8, Century 0--Laguna Hills (14-9-1, 9-1) won its fourth straight league title. Misty Thompson had a two-run home run and Tia Ignoffo had a three-run triple.
In the Sea View League:
Woodbridge 1, Saddleback 0 (8)--Stephanie Bernritter pitched a perfect game as Woodbridge (20-8, 10-3) won its 13th straight title.
Irvine 3, Corona del Mar 0--Amy Young pitched a two-hitter for Irvine (17-9, 11-3), which shared the title with Woodbridge.
Santa Margarita 5, Tustin 2--Laura Meith had three hits, including two doubles, and two RBIs for Santa Margarita (18-10, 9-5), which forced a playoff game today at home against Tustin (11-7, 9-5).
In the South Coast League:
El Toro 7, Mission Viejo 0--Jenny Fricke (grand slam) and Kelly Bruce homered for league champion El Toro (21-8, 9-1).
Mater Dei 5, Capistrano Valley 0--Patty Godwin (15-4) pitched a three-hitter for No. 6 Mater Dei (19-5, 8-2).
In the Sunset League:
Ocean View 8, Westminster 3--Kathy Ponce pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts for No. 9 Ocean View (17-6, 10-4).
