Nixon’s Return
* Living across from Yorba Linda in the hills above Anaheim Hills, I experienced quite a phenomenon last Tuesday afternoon.
After watching the arrival of Richard Nixon’s casket, along with his family on television at El Toro, I followed its route to Yorba Linda and along with it was quite a downpour. While it wasn’t even raining here, all afternoon the eye of the storm, with hail, lightning and thunder, seemed to be right over Yorba Linda.
I couldn’t help but feel that President Nixon was letting his presence be known and giving us his one last speech.
We will miss him. May he rest in peace.
