A Pasadena man lost an eye Monday when a motorist stopped in front of his car on Angeles Crest Highway and allegedly shot him. Noel Milovic, 52, was in stable condition at Verdugo Hills Hospital, Sheriff’s Lt. Jim Hays said.
Michael Shinkman, 52, a mechanic for the Los Angeles Police Department, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and held without bail in the 1:15 p.m. shooting.
“The victim was driving ahead of the suspect when Shinkman drove around him and then stopped, got out of his car pulled out a gun and fired four shots, one of them hitting the victim,” Hays said.
He said two off-duty sheriff’s deputies witnessed the incident and followed Shinkman to a service station in La Crescenta, where he was calling authorities to say he had shot a man. Deputies in another car called an ambulance.
