Japanese Student Shot in Carjacking Attempt

DENVER — A Japanese college student was shot in the chest early Friday in what police say was a carjacking.
Police said two men confronted Kouichi Takamoto, 26, about 1 a.m., shot him in the chest and stole his 1987 white Toyota.
