Los Alamitos 3, El Dorado 0--John Griffin had 16 kills for Los Alamitos (3-4, 3-0), which won 16-14, 17-15, 15-13.

In the Pacific Coast League:

Estancia 3, Trabuco Hills 0--Dave White and Mike Truong each had 10 kills and Dave Earle had 22 assists for Estancia (8-0, 4-0), which won 15-12, 15-9, 15-13.

Laguna Hills 3, Costa Mesa 1--

Lance Merrifield had 15 kills and Kelly Wallace 10 for Laguna Hills, which won 14-16, 15-6, 15-10, 15-1.

In Orange League softball:

Brea-Olinda 9, Valencia 8 (8)--Valencia misplayed Juli Evers’ bunt in the bottom of the eighth inning, allowing Jennifer Swinder to score the winning run.

Bonnie Smith had three hits and three RBIs, and pitched a complete game for the Wildcats (6-8, 2-0).

In the Garden Grove softball tournament:

Garden Grove 8, Long Beach Millikan 4--Wendy Griffin had

three hits and three RBIs and Jennifer Johnson had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored for Garden Grove (10-7) in a semifinal.

Saturday, Garden Grove will play the winner of the La Mirada-Cerritos game for the championship.

In Pacific Coast League boys’ swimming:

Trabuco Hills 99, Costa Mesa 72--Bernard Perone won the 200 freestyle in 1 minute 59.15 seconds and the 500 freestyle (5:20.94) and James Comfort won the 200 individual medley (2:09.43) and 100 backstroke (59.00) for Costa Mesa (3-3, 1-2).

In Century League girls’ swimming:

Canyon 91, El Modena 79--Lisa Hess won the 200 individual medley (2:11.9) and 100 butterfly (59.44) for Canyon (8-0, 3-0).
