PREP NOTES : Eggleston Chooses Cal Poly Pomona

Cypress basketball player Jessica Eggleston has committed to Cal Poly Pomona, Cypress Coach John Selbe said Monday.
Eggleston, a 5-foot-11 forward who was the Empire League most valuable player three times, led Orange County in scoring last season with a 29.5 average. She was a first-team Times all-county selection.
In four seasons as a starter for Cypress, Eggleston helped the Centurions to three league titles.

Servite High announced that Rich Manning has resigned after six years as the boys’ soccer coach at the school. Manning, who compiled a 55-59-12 record, will coach the Southern California Blues soccer club in San Juan Capistrano.
Mike Gwaltney, Manning’s assistant the last four seasons, will take over the program.
