I wish to comment on your article concerning the idiot who moved the fire engine (“Driven to Trouble,” March 23). I have been a professional firefighter for 12 years, and this is by far the most stupid thing I have read about to date.
Having been involved in the destructive brush fires this past year, I can honestly say that people who had idling fire engines outside their homes, sometimes all night, felt great that we were there.
I hope Garry Campbell spends some time in a noisy jail cell.
