WHITTIER : Wood Named Interim Rio Hondo President
Timothy Wood, vice president of Rio Hondo Community College, will serve as interim president while trustees search for a permanent replacement, the college has announced.
Wood, who joined the college in 1983, has been appointed to a one-year term beginning July 1. He has a bachelor’s degree from Wright State University in Ohio, a master’s degree from Cal State L.A., and a law degree from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton.
Wood replaces President Alex A. Sanchez, who is scheduled to leave in June to take the top post at the Albuquerque Technical and Vocational Institute in New Mexico.
