CareLine Inc.: The Irvine-based provider of ambulance services Wednesday said it plans to raise $60 million by selling corporate IOUs that can be converted into stocks at a later date. The company is vying to become the largest ambulance company in the nation--it recently announced that it was buying two Philadelphia ambulance companies--and plans to use the cash for additional acquisitions.
