USAir Names New President: The carrier promoted Frank L. Salizzoni to president and chief operating officer. Salizzoni, a former executive with Trans World Airlines, has been USAir’s chief financial officer and an executive vice president since he joined the company in 1990. He assumes the presidency from Seth E. Schofield, who will continue as chairman and chief executive of the Arlington, Va.-based carrier.
