Slovak Republic Tougher on Privatization: The new Slovak government has blocked the privatization of 13 projects approved by its predecessor, privatization minister Milan Janicina said. The previous regime, ousted on March 11, had approved 45 direct sales of state-owned companies. But Rudolf Filkus, the new finance minister, has blocked the the transfers of shares held by the National Property Fund, which administers the privatization of state-held enterprises.
