Two armed men robbed the Music Plus store on Marguerite Parkway Tuesday afternoon, fleeing with $1,000 in cash and about 30 new tapes, the county Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday.
The suspects entered the store at 4:30 p.m. and forced one employee to lie down on the floor while taking another employee to a back room, where they removed about $1,000 in cash from a safe, according to a Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
The suspects then ordered the employees into the store’s bathroom, said Lt. Dan Martini. The robbers took about 30 tapes before fleeing, he said. No one was injured in the holdup, Martini said.
Both suspects were described as Latinos between the ages of 16 and 20, police said. One had a stocky build and was wearing a maroon cap and maroon sweat shirt. Witnesses said the other had a thin build and a shaved head and was wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt.
Store managers declined comment.
