SIMI VALLEY : City May Seek State Funds for Bike Path
- Share via
The Simi Valley City Council today will consider applying for $53,000 in state funds to extend a city bicycle trail.
The money would be used to extend the Arroyo Simi Bicycle Trail from the Metrolink station on Los Angeles Avenue east to Corriganville Park.
If approved by the council, the application will be considered by the Ventura County Transportation Commission, which will dole out about $271,000 in state funds next year for pedestrian and bike projects throughout the county.
Over the past several years, Simi Valley has used state funds for bike paths along the Arroyo Simi and the Kadota Fig Drain.
