SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : 5 Principals Named for Next School Year

Five principals have been named to head elementary schools in the Capistrano Unified School District for the 1994-95 school year. The five are:

* Dianne Hoff, Wood Canyon Elementary, Aliso Viejo. Hoff comes from Cartersville, Ga., where she was principal of Cartersville Elementary School. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in secondary English education from Indiana University and is a doctoral candidate in education administration at the University of Louisville.

* Susan MacConaghy, Barcelona Hills Elementary, Mission Viejo. MacConaghy is currently the principal of Mission Elementary School in Redlands. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from UC Santa Barbara and a master’s degree in education from USC. She is working on a doctorate in education administration at USC.

* Deborah McCormick, George L. White Elementary, Laguna Niguel. Currently principal of Jefferson Elementary School in the Santa Ana Unified School District, McCormick holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Ohio State University and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and education administration from Cal State Long Beach.

* Aida Nunez, San Juan Elementary, San Juan Capistrano. Nunez has been assistant principal of Fremont Elementary School in the Santa Ana Unified School District. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from UC Irvine and a master’s degree in administration from United States International University.

* Curt Visca, Bathgate Elementary, Mission Viejo. Currently the assistant principal at Bergeson Elementary School in Laguna Niguel, Visca is known as the creator and star of “It’s Curtoon Time,†a local cable television program. Bathgate will open the year as a visual arts academy. Visca holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Cal State Fullerton and a master’s degree in education administration from National University.
