Times Delivered--Even Day of Temblor

* If you can stand one more earthquake story, here’s one that will make the postal system jealous.
Like everyone else on Jan. 17, we tried our best to ride out the shaking with as much courage as we could muster. After the initial quake, we crept through our still moaning house, falling over debris and feeling our way in the dark and newly unfamiliar surroundings.
Knowing full well that a slew of aftershocks was going to hit, we made our way out the front door and into our driveway, where we saw all of our neighbors had done the same thing.
It must have been no more than five minutes after we had been so rudely awakened when a car with its headlights on turned into our cul-de-sac. Who could it be? No one recognized the car. As it crept closer, the headlights growing brighter, an object came flying out of the window. Plop. It was the Los Angeles Times being delivered to our house.
Your ad campaign should probably be “Forget the sleet and snow. We do earthquakes!”
