Four days after a local electrician was robbed at gunpoint while leaving work, the man spotted the two suspects at a fast-food restaurant just across the street from his office Saturday and helped police apprehend them, authorities said.

Arther Masaoka, 36, had just walked into a Burger King on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach around 3:45 p.m. when he saw two teen-agers who he believed had robbed him of about $1,100 in cash and jewelry Tuesday night and had threatened him with a gun.

“As soon as I walked in, they were there, refilling their Coke cups,†said Masaoka, who lives in Fountain Valley. “I knew it was them--I’m real good at faces.â€

The two youths spotted him and fled on foot, police said. Masaoka, worried that they might once again be armed, waited a few minutes before chasing them in his car and calling the Huntington Beach police on his car phone to report the suspects, he said.
