Well, it finally happened. After we’ve heard about it for years.
In the stands at Canada’s overtime hockey game the other night sat silver-medal figure skater Elvis Stojko, cheering for his fellow Canadians. One period, two periods, three periods, overtime . . . there he sat.
Then, about four minutes into the overtime period, Stojko, eager not to miss a minute of the women’s figure skating, left his seat to go watch, missing the game-winning goal by Canada’s Paul Kariya.
That’s right, Elvis had left the building.
