POMONA : Accounting Firm Selected to Audit 2 Cal Poly Offices
Cal Poly Pomona announced this week that the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche has been selected to conduct a comprehensive audit of two campus offices that have been embroiled in controversy the past year.
The move comes five months after the California State University chancellor’s office recommended the review in a report that found numerous policy violations in actions related to Cal Poly’s continuing education office and its educational foundation, which manages campus services such as the bookstores and cafeteria.
Officials said the audit has been delayed because of problems in obtaining a usable bid. The audit by the Wilton, Conn.-based firm is expected to take six weeks, but a Cal Poly spokeswoman said Tuesday she did not know how much the audit would cost or when it would begin.
