Los Angeles Superior Court officials announced Monday that many criminal and civil Superior Courts will be closed today, including those Downtown and in Van Nuys, Santa Monica, San Fernando, the Mid-City area and Lancaster.
Other Superior Courts, including Torrance and Norwalk, were scheduled to open.
The closure in Van Nuys means there will be no deliberations today in the Lyle Menendez murder trial.
“How long we’re going to be closed, I don’t know,” said Superior Court Judge Robert Letteau, supervising judge of the Van Nuys Courthouse.
