Cars, Aircraft Boost November Factory Orders 1.4%: Orders for manufactured goods boomed at the end of 1993, the Commerce Department reported, with strong demand for new cars and commercial aircraft propelling orders for a fourth straight month to a seasonally adjusted $262 billion. The gain was the biggest monthly increase since June, when orders surged 2.9%, and follows a 1.2% October gain. The increase was widespread, ranging from cars and computers to food and paper products.
