NAME DISPUTE: Moorpark is named for a variety of apricot, a fruit that once grew abundantly in the area. But one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods is Peach Hill, on the city’s south side. . . . Now some history minded residents are upset about a proposal to change the name of Peach Hill Drive to Mesa Verde Drive, matching the moniker of a new middle school (B7). . . .
