MOORPARK : Mosquito Abatement Board Seeks Member
The city of Moorpark is currently accepting applications from residents interested in serving as the city’s appointee to the Moorpark Mosquito Abatement District.
The district is responsible for reducing the nuisance level of insects in the Moorpark area. Board members meet on the first Tuesday of each month. Four of the five board members are appointed by the county.
Those interested in serving as the city’s appointee should pick up an application at City Hall and return it by Jan. 26, said City Clerk Lillian Hare.
The council is scheduled to make its selection on Feb. 2. The appointment runs through January, 1996, Hare said.
