OXNARD : Man Booked on Suspicion of Burglary
Oxnard police arrested an Ojai man early Monday after a silent alarm warned of a possible burglary in progress at the Price Club in Oxnard, authorities said.
Police said that when they arrived at the store, they spotted a man running from the rear of the building and detained him.
Darrell Donat, 31, told police he is a security guard for the store but could not produce any identification, investigators said. While searching Donat, police said they found an undisclosed amount of jewelry, which they believe was taken from the store.
Donat was booked at Ventura County Jail on suspicion of burglary, police said.
Store officials declined to comment.
