FILLMORE : 2 Men Fatally Burned After Car Flips Over
Two men burned to death when their car flipped and burst into flames on a remote section of California 126 near Fillmore, authorities said.
The men, who have not yet been identified, were heading west the highway late Sunday when their car careened off the road, struck an embankment, flipped over and caught fire, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two were unable to get out of the vehicle before it began to burn, a CHP officer said.
It could take several days to identify the men, an official from the Ventura County coroner’s office said Monday. Tests showed both survived the crash but were killed in the ensuing fire.
