The Multinational Monitor, founded by the consumer advocate, said the “10 worst U.S. corporations of 1993†polluted, ripped off investors, served tainted food or tried to break unions. Included on the “1993 Corporate Hall of Shame†list are Diamond Walnut Growers Inc. of Stockton; Dow Corning Corp. of Midland, Mich.; DuPont Co. of Wilmington, Del.; Jack in the Box, owned by Foodmaker Inc. of San Diego; Prudential Securities Inc. of New York; RJR Nabisco of New York; Tele-Communications Inc. of Englewood, Colo.; Tate & Lyle of Decatur, Ill.; Texaco Inc. of White Plains, N.Y., and Waste Technology Industries of Liverpool, Ohio.
