Getting in the Swim: It is an age of specialization.
A pair of Huntington Beach realtors, Alan and Marie Hansen, did a little review of their business over the last few years and discovered that almost 70% of the homes they had sold since coming to California in 1989 had swimming pools.
So why not?
The couple started their own agency in Huntington Beach recently: California Pool Homes.
The doors opened in October and Marie Hansen said the company intends eventually to accept only homes with swimming pools for its listings. But as the new business gets started the couple still is handling listings from their old brokerage, including homes without pools, she said.
