GIRLS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Magee Scores 27 to Lead Ocean View Past La Quinta

Farrah Magee scored 27 points to lead Ocean View to a 72-53 victory over La Quinta in the title game of the Lady Lancer Pride Invitational Friday at La Quinta High School.
Magee, a forward, was selected as the tournament’s most valuable player. Center Becky Fraser added 19 points and a career-high 24 rebounds for Ocean View (6-1). Rhonda Gondringer had 21 points for La Quinta.
In the third-place game:
Dana Hills 46, Santiago 38--Karun Grossman scored 22 of her 30 points in the second half as Dana Hills (5-2) captured third place.
In the consolation round:
Esperanza 53, Troy 38--Guard Kristy Kierulff and Jodie Howard had 17 points apiece for Esperanza (4-3). Kierulff and Howard were named to the all-tournament team.
In the Bolsa Grande tournament:
San Clemente 58, Trabuco Hills 21--Center Jenny Geminert had 14 points and nine rebounds for San Clemente in a semifinal game. San Clemente will play Tustin for the championship at 7 tonight.
Tustin 59, Capistrano Valley 52--Sara Davis had 27 points to lead Tustin into the final. Susan Scott had 29 points for Capistrano Valley.
Santa Ana 48, Magnolia 33--Nancy Love scored 20 points and had nine rebounds for Santa Ana (4-2) in a consolation game.
In the El Dorado tournament:
El Dorado 71, Pomona 27--Michelle DeBruijn scored 20 points and Jamie Nebeker added 15 for El Dorado (5-0) in one semifinal game. El Dorado plays Corona at 6 p.m. today for the championship.
In the consolation round:
Sunny Hills 60, Valencia 54--Randi Kameoka scored 21 points, including four three-pointers, and Megumi Takasaki added 16 for Sunny Hills (2-6). Shelly Gamba scored 26 for Valencia (2-4).
In the Orange Lutheran Tournament:
Century 43, Riverside Woodcrest Christian 26--Forward Laura Zepeda led with 13 points and Addie Alexander and Nina Alexander each added 10 points for Century (6-1) in the semifinal game.
Liberty Christian 39, Western Christian 32--Jessica Clark had 11 points and Buffy Cugno added nine points for Liberty Christian (11-27) in a consolation game.
In the Valley Christian Tournament:
Los Alamitos 56, Bellflower 51--Miyesha Williams scored 21 points and Kris Reyes had 17 for Los Alamitos (2-4) in a consolation game.
In the Express League:
Heritage Christian 33, Bethel Baptist 23--Alisia Kean scored 18 points to lead Heritage Christian.
