Applicants Sought for USC Workshop

The Guy Alexander Hanks Screenwriting Program, established by a grant from Bill and Camille Cosby, is now accepting applications for its 15-week screenwriting workshop at the USC School of Cinema-Television.

The program, established in honor of Camille Cosby’s father, is open to writers of African American descent. The workshop will meet two nights a week. There is no charge for those who are accepted and those who complete the program will be eligible for scholarship funds to attend the USC School of Cinema-Television.

Applications must be mailed no later than Jan. 9 or submitted in person by Jan. 14 in the George Lucas Building, Room 400, at USC. Applicants must be at least 18 and may not currently be enrolled in a film/TV program at a university, college or community college.
