Semtech 3rd-Quarter Profit Rises 64% to $185,000
Semtech Corp. reported a $185,000 profit for the third quarter ended Oct. 30, a 64% increase from the $113,000 it earned in the same period a year ago.
Revenues for the third quarter increased 10% to $5.7 million, from $5.2 million for the same period in 1992.
Company officials attributed the higher earnings and revenues to the introduction of new products and an increase in new orders during the third quarter. New orders for the quarter totaled $7.4 million, up 78% from the same period a year earlier.
The Newbury Park company manufactures power equipment, including rectifiers, capacitors and voltage regulators for both military and commercial customers.
