Pacoima Man Is Shot to Death After Argument

PACOIMA — A 32-year-old man was shot to death in an argument with two men outside his house, Los Angeles police reported.
Pastor Ayala of Pacoima was struck twice in the chest in the shooting in the 12700 block of Mercer Street about 9:15 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Lee Allen said.
Ayala was pronounced dead at Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, Allen said.
His killers escaped and it was not known what the men were arguing about, Allen said.
“This was not gang-related,” Allen said. “This was a family man, a hard-working man. This shouldn’t have happened.”
