Gas Kills Six Miners

ISTANBUL, Turkey — A gas leak has killed six coal miners at a pit in northwest Turkey, the Anatolian news agency reported Wednesday. Eleven others were rescued.
The agency said the victims died from inhaling carbon monoxide at the privately owned Karaelmas Madencilik mine in the Black Sea province of Bolu on Tuesday night.
