The Region : December Rail Fee Half-Off

Train commuters can buy a monthly pass for December at half-price, Metrolink officials announced.
The reduced prices, ranging from $104 to $40, include free transfers to buses and the Metro Red Line in Los Angeles.
“This 50% discount promotion will let our loyal riders know how much we appreciate their patronage,” said Metrolink board chairman Larry Walker. In addition, he said he hopes the half-price fare will lure new riders.
With the reduction, the December monthly fare from San Bernardino to Los Angeles will be $104; from Claremont and Pomona, $72; from Baldwin Park, Covina, El Monte and Industry, $56, and from Glendale and Burbank, $40.
