Angeles National Forest : Restoration Plans Under Way
Volunteer efforts to reseed and replant the San Gabriel Mountains vegetation burned in the recent wildfires will be discussed today at the Mt. Wilson Bicycling Assn.’s annual pancake breakfast.
Officials of the U.S. Forest Service and the bicycling group, which often performs volunteer trail maintenance, will talk about steps being taken to restore the forest. The breakfast, served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., will take place at the forest’s Arroyo Seco District ranger station on the northwestern edge of Pasadena on Oak Grove Drive in the Hahamongna Watershed Park, formerly called Oak Grove Park. Tickets are $5.
