ROUNDUP : Harvard-Westlake Wins in Water Polo Playoffs

Jason Manning scored two of his four goals in the first quarter as the Harvard-Westlake High water polo team defeated Santa Ana Valley, 17-10, in a first-round Southern Section Division I playoff game Friday at Harvard-Westlake. Harvard-Westlake (25-2) will meet San Clemente in the second round on Tuesday.
In a Division II second-round game:
Royal 8, Marina 7--Jeremy Pickles gave the Highlanders their only lead of the game, scoring with 1 minute 6 seconds remaining at Rancho Simi Community Pool. The Highlanders (21-5) will face Esperanza, a 9-7 winner over La Habra, in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Fullerton 110, Valley 85--Bobby Natoya scored 40 points to lead Fullerton in the first round of the Mt. San Antonio College tournament. Craig Griffin paced the Monarchs (0-1) with 23 points. Teammate Brian Jackson added 12 points and nine rebounds.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
Antelope Valley def. Citrus, 13-15, 15-11, 15-5, 15-9--Antelope Valley (16-0) clinched its first Foothill Conference championship in 11 years.
