Countywide : Salvation Army Seeks Fire-Aid Items

The Salvation Army is seeking donations of usable clothing, furniture and appliances to provide relief for victims of the recent fires, officials said Friday.
Also, fire victims who need shelter, clothing, counseling or other assistance are encouraged to contact the Salvation Army’s temporary office at Laguna Presbyterian Church, 415 Forest Ave., Laguna Beach. That office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and weekends, said a spokeswoman.
Donations to fire victims may be brought to the Salvation Army receiving center at 1300 S. Lewis St., Anaheim. Arrangements for pickups can be made by calling (714) 758-0333 or (800) 559-2769.
Also, cash contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 5036, Santa Ana, Calif. 92704-5036.
