3rd-Quarter Profit Soars for Dolco Packaging

Dolco Packaging Corp., a Sherman Oaks maker of plastic packaging products, said its third-quarter profit jumped 73% on an 11% increase in sales.

In the three months ended Sept. 30, Dolco earned $2.9 million, compared with $1.4 million in net income in the same quarter a year ago. Sales climbed to $15.6 million from $14 million a year earlier.

For the nine months, Dolco’s profit more than doubled to $2.9 million from $1.4 million. Sales rose 8% to $46.2 million from $42.6 million in the year-earlier period.
