Going Their Own Ways
For the graduating members of the Corona del Mar High School girls volleyball team, this season marks the end of a long and successful relationship. Five of the girls will continue to play volleyball in college--but not together.
* Kimberly Coleman, 17. One of the top players in the nation. She will attend UCLA but also was recruited by Pepperdine, UC Santa Barbara, Colorado and Colorado State. She wants to be a marine biologist.
* Kristen Campbell, 17. Also a top player, Kristen is being recruited by Duke, Colorado, Notre Dame and Washington. She hopes to become a doctor.
* Caitlin Pickart, 17. A National Merit Scholar who hopes to be a doctor, Caitlin has been approached by Ivy League schools Princeton, Harvard and Yale, as well as William and Mary and Georgetown.
* Jennifer Stroffe, 17. An award-winning player, Jennifer is being recruited by USC, Illinois and Michigan, among others. She aspires to play professional volleyball and would someday like to compete in the Olympics.
* Andrea Susson, 17. Andrea hopes to become a walk-on player at UC Berkeley, Arizona or UCLA and would eventually like to have a career in film production.
