* * * Spice-1, “187 He Wrote,” Jive. You can almost hear the bullets whizzing by your head as you listen to the Oakland rapper’s second full-length album, featuring tunes with such titles as “Trigga Happy,” “RIP” and “Runnin’ Out Da Crackhouse.” It’s the same old blood-spattered turf, but somehow Spice-1--whose raps often have a bone-chilling detachment--makes you feel as if you’re driving by it for the first time.
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
