Pasadena : Not Guilty Plea in Killing

A 26-year-old film production worker pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday in connection with the shotgun death of Los Angeles lawyer Adam Scott.
Ethan David Dubrow, who posted $25,000 bail, shot and killed Scott at a Park La Brea party early Saturday morning while showing off a new shotgun, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Theodore A. Loewen. During a Los Angeles Municipal Court hearing Dubrow was charged with involuntary manslaughter, which carries a maximum prison sentence of nine years.
Dubrow listed his occupation as a film production worker for Tung River Pictures, police said. Scott, a Silver Lake resident, was the son of Pasadena City College President Jack Scott and a corporate attorney with Crosby Heafey Roach & May.
Dubrow was showing his 12-gauge, semiautomatic shotgun to Scott and another party-goer at his home when he fired the weapon, apparently unaware that it was loaded, Loewen said.
