TOXIC DISCHARGES
Under the state Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, Ventura County must report each week the toxic and potentially toxic materials discharged. The discharges are investigated by the county Environmental Health Division.

DATE: Oct. 11 LOCATION: 6348 Sylvan Drive, Simi Valley MATERIAL: Unknown amount of natural gas
DATE: Oct. 11 LOCATION: 17057 South Mountain Road, Ventura MATERIAL: 100 gallons of crude oil
DATE: Oct. 13 LOCATION: Ventura Field, School Canyon Road, Ventura MATERIAL: One barrel of oil
DATE: Oct. 14 LOCATION: Vineyard Avenue and Rio School Lane MATERIAL: 100 pounds of chlorine
