BUENA PARK : Body Found in Apartment Identified
Police on Friday identified a man found dead this week in his apartment with a shotgun wound to the head.
Police found Jorge Antonio Cuamea, 44, on a couch in an apartment in the 7800 block of El Coco Way on Thursday. Officers discovered his badly decomposed body after neighbors called to report a foul smell.
Cuamea, a produce worker in Los Angeles, appeared to have been dead for several days, an autopsy on Friday revealed.
He shared the apartment with at least one roommate, but that person is not considered a suspect, homicide investigator Corey Sianez said. It is unclear why Cuamea was shot, Sianez said.
