Grant 7, Poly 3--Rod Singleton (22 carries, 96 yards) scored on a six-yard run in the first period and the Lancers (3-2, 1-1) held the Parrots (1-4, 1-1) to 122 yards.

Singleton and his twin brother Ray, Grant’s quarterback, accounted for 147 of the Lancers’ 183 yards.

Poly’s only score came on a 40-yard field goal by Gerzon Camey in the first period. Running back Gerrod Taylor had 95 yards in 20 carries for the Parrots.
