Agoura 21, Camarillo 14--Quarterback Raymond Howden’s one-yard touchdown run to open the fourth quarter gave Agoura (3-2, 2-0) the lead for good at Camarillo.
The Chargers stopped Camarillo (2-3, 0-2) on downs at the Agoura two-yard line with 3 minutes 22 seconds to play to clinch the victory.
Agoura trailed, 14-0, in the first quarter, but rallied for 21 consecutive points. Agoura running back Tommy Kim rushed for 104 of his 131 yards in the second half, and scored on a 47-yard run early in the third quarter that tied the score, 14-14.
Camarillo tailback Robert Smith rushed for 129 yards in 31 carries. Scorpion receiver Ryan Joyce had three catches for 62 yards and scored on a 40-yard pass play.
