3 Teen-agers Hurt in Rolling Pickup
IRVINE — Three teen-age boys were injured, two of them critically, when their pickup truck rolled over several times, police said Friday.
All three were ejected from the vehicle shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday on Alton Parkway between Sand Canyon Avenue and Jeffrey Road, said Investigator Doug Coffing.
Andrew McAlister and Eric Sayer, both 19 and Irvine residents, were taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where they were listed in critical condition.
Damion Nagai, 18, also of Irvine, was in satisfactory condition at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo.
All were riding in the cab of the pickup truck when it rolled over, Lt. Robert Lennart said.
Police closed Alton Parkway where the accident happened until about noon Friday to study the stretch of road to try to determine the cause.
