BOYLE HEIGHTS : Free Workshop Set for Latino Diabetics

Spanish-speaking diabetics can learn about the importance of exercise in maintaining health and its effects on insulin in the body at a patient education program Saturday.
The American Diabetes Assn.’s Latino Programs Committee will sponsor the free program from 9 a.m. to noon at USC University Hospital, 1500 San Pablo St.
The program will feature a lecture in Spanish by Nazareth Khodiguian of the Cal State Los Angeles School of Physical Education. Khodiguian will include demonstrations of exercises in his talk, and participants are asked to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Registration is required.
