Ram Fans Finding It Tougher Than Ever to Say Anything Nice
Oh, the Rams are building? Yes, Chuck Knox is building his Social Security benefits and his paunch, Georgia Frontiere is building her bank account and Jim Everett is building his incomplete passes and number of sacks.
But let’s not lose hope. We’ve got the best passer the Rams ever had. At least that’s what Jimbo says.

I for one would like to thank Chuck Knox for taking all the suspense out of this season for those of us who might have looked for a winning year. Frankly, I watched four or five reruns of last year’s team and then watched this year’s preseason games and almost couldn’t tell the difference.
I don’t understand. With all the available coaches in the country, Georgia had to go with a retread. I guess we are lucky in one respect, we can’t get George or Ray back.
Also, Cleveland Gary doesn’t start to gain any ground until he has been hit five or 10 times. Why doesn’t his own team beat him up a little in the tunnel on the way to the field so he’s productive the whole game? And speaking of people afraid of being hit, poor Jim Everett is playing like Don Knotts.

It’s tough enough being a loyal Northwestern Wildcat fan, but having Mike Penner (Sept. 6) insinuate that part of the Rams’ woes may stem from having three former Wildcat players on their roster is more than I can bear.
Just wait--the Wildcats and the Rams will rise again.

The Los Angeles Rams should consider changing their name to the Anaheim Ducklings. Green Bay totally roasted them.
