Chase’s Ratings Drop to Third
The ratings for “The Chevy Chase Show†finally came down to earth after its third airing Thursday night, falling behind Jay Leno and new late-night talk-show leader David Letterman.
Chase debuted ahead of the talk-show pack on Tuesday, but he received a 3.7 rating on Thursday, behind Leno’s 3.8 on NBC and Letterman’s 5.4 on CBS. (Each ratings point represents 942,000 households.)
