WOODLAND HILLS — The decomposed body of a woman who had been shot to death was discovered by telephone company workers Thursday in bushes near Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills, authorities said.
The woman, who has not been identified, was found by an AT&T; crew making repairs along the side of the busy street near Leonora Drive, said Brian Humphrey, a dispatcher for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It is unclear whether the woman, who was in her 40s, had been killed or had committed suicide, Humphrey said.
