The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce’s school improvement project is under way at Luther Burbank Elementary School, where an electrical company is rewiring the school’s buildings to support more computers and air conditioning.
In July, chamber officials announced the program in which local businesses help schools in the Pasadena Unified School District.
H & H Electric of Pasadena is fixing the electrical system at Burbank Elementary School in Altadena, the first school chosen by the chamber’s education committee for help, said Steve Haderlein, head of the project.
Students, faculty and the PTA will use resources donated by local businesses to improve the campus on Oct. 8 and 9, he said.
