PacifiCare Health Systems Inc.: The Cypress managed health care company posted a 35% gain in profit for its third fiscal quarter, earning $19.7 million, or 71 cents a share, compared to $14.6 million, or 60 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 rose 29% to $575.7 million from $447.1 million. For the first nine months of its fiscal 1993, the company’s profit increased 45% to $45.6 million, or $1.64 a share, from $31.5 million, or $1.31 a share. Nine-month revenue rose 33% to $1.6 billion from $1.2 billion.
